Ristorante Machiavelli
The 200-year old Ristorante Machiavelli is located along an area popularly known as the Chianti Street, which descends southbound through the middle of the grape fields, from Florence, the capital of the culturally rich Tuscany region.
Owning vast amounts of land, the Machiavelli family prospered from the Middle Ages as wine making farmers, while also running a hostel called Albergaccio. When they later renovated Albergaccio, Ristorante Machiavelli was born. The Machiavelli family is a prestigious family, which is also known for producing one of the Italy's greatest philosophers, Niccolo Machiavelli.
Albergaccio is now used as a guest house for tourists from around the world, who visit the Chianti Classico Association in search of the best red wine. Ristorante Machiavelli is the only restaurant with its name outside of Italy. Living up to its name, it continues tradition and introduces delicious dishes from Tuscany and other parts of Italy.
